Walk the full length of the beach with us — what to eat at each station, and why we ended up at Station 3.

Boracay's beach runs about four kilometres of white sand, and the food along it changes as much as the crowd does. Most visitors pick one stretch and stay there, never seeing what's at the other end. This guide is for anyone willing to walk the whole thing and eat well along the way.

Station 1 — The resort end

Station 1 is where the big international hotels sit, and the dining follows suit: polished hotel restaurants, international chains, menus built to please a crowd rather than surprise anyone. The food is often good, occasionally excellent, rarely unexpected. The beach is also at its widest here, so the tables end up further from the water than you'd guess.

Station 2 — The centre

Station 2 is where most of the island's activity sits: the main commercial strip, most of the nightlife, the highest concentration of restaurants and bars. The food ranges widely, from local spots worth seeking out down side streets to tourist menus with photos of every dish. Spend an afternoon here and you'll eat well, as long as you know where to look.

Station 3 — Where things get quieter

Station 3 is the stretch most visitors never reach, which is part of why we set up here. The pace changes. Same white sand, same turquoise water, but a thinner crowd and fewer places to eat — the ones that are here tend to be worth it.

Nonie's sits inside Ondus Hotel at Station 3, a beachfront spot that opened in September 2024. If you've walked this far, you've earned the pandan pancakes — pull up a chair on the al fresco terrace and stay a while.

Want the actual restaurant picks, not just the stations? We put together a guide to where we'd eat at every stop, station by station.
